Entry fees for the remaining 2010 shows will be $10 and will benefit animal welfare through Paws In The City (unless noted otherwise). At all car show events, a like value of pet food & supplies may be furnished in lieu of entry fees. See wish list of needed items. First fifty entries at each event (except Show 'n' Shines) will receive dash plaques.

THE leader in local points shows!

Great American Wheels & Wings first announced a points and cash prize program in early June 2010. Within two weeks, others had decided that ours was such a good idea that they followed our lead by offering points shows of their own!  It is often said that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". If that's the case, then I guess we are just busting out with pride!  When it comes to deciding which car show to enter, please remember that Great American Wheels & Wings is the leader in local neighborhood points shows!

Please join us for chances to win cash prizes by entering any local event leading up to our big regional show at Prestonwood Polo Club on October 16, 2010. Points are awarded for more than just entering any particular show. Points are awarded for a number of different activities, participation and winning at our events. Points will also be awarded (up to a limit) for donations to Paws In The City or upon adoption of a Paws In The City rescue. The Points Pursuit Path will culminate in the awarding of, not only substantial trophies but, larger cash prizes at the October 16 event.

WIN THIS CAR !

These GREAT AMERICAN WHEELS, a 1954 Mercury Monterey for door sedan, will be raffled by Paws In The City in 2011. Tickets will go on sale March 1, 2011 for $25 per chance. Only 2,500 total chances will be sold. Please remember that all of the proceeds from your ticket purchases will help rescue dogs and cats and often help save their lives in the process! Besides helping Paws In The City with their animal rescue and welfare effort, you might just win this classic car!! The drawing will take place in November 2011, at an event and on a date to be determined before March 1, 2011. The current N.A.D.A. value of this automobile is approximately $10,000. All proceeds will go for animal welfare and rescue efforts by Paws In The City. This car will be present at remaining 2010 Great American Wheels & Wings car shows and at many Paws In The City adoption and other events. Car is in great condition but will be reconditioned over the winter. After tickets go on sale in 2011, entry fee will be waived for an owner who purchases a raffle ticket at that show!

Unlike others who just play the 1962 Beach Boys song "409" on their website, we actually own a 1963 resto mod S.S. Impala (NOT a clone!) with a 425HP 409CID Chevy engine complete with Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock manifold & carbs, Hooker headers, MSD ignition, Zoops brackets and pulleys, Edelbrock fuel and water pumps and a high torque mini-starter! All parts needed to completely reassemble  this beautiful automobile for the 2011 season are finished & present!
